We are a boutique and tasting bar featuring artisan products and local wine from all over Ontario. We offer customers a range of locally sourced gifts, pantry fare, picnic supplies and gourmet snacks. You'll find a unique selection of small batch and rare wines made in Ontario that are not typically available at the LCBO, plus local craft beer, cider and mead. New products are available to taste every week!

OUR VISION 

We’ve always had a dream to have a local wine shop -- a place where we could continue to support Ontario wineries and educate others about the amazing products in our backyard.  And we did it with support from people like you!  Our product selection goes beyond wines to include local producers of craft beer, cider, mead, artisan gifts & gourmet products.

THE SPACE

decanter occupies a unit in one of Wellington’s original homes, circa 1845. Restored between 2020 and 2022, the original character and charm of the building has been maintained. The space features a boutique, tasting bar, meeting space and back patio.

 

The Cellar Sisters

(EST. 2011)  

Angie Jewell & MJ Macdonald are passionate local wine supporters, promoters and consultants, certified by the International Sommeliers Guild (ISG). 

This dynamic duo organize and facilitatate educational wine-based events (virtual & in-person) and have a decade of experience working with the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration (i4C).

Angie spent 20 years with Indigo, honing her retail and operations experience; she has the ability to plan and execute events flawlessly. MJ started her career in high tech marketing and moved into corporate education in the early 2000s; as a yoga instructor, she also brings a wellness focus to all events and experiences.

 

The Cellar Source 

(EST. 2011)  

For over 10 years, Angie & MJ ran a wine agency, The Cellar Source, licensed by the AGCO, representing wine manufacturers across Ontario and fulfilled wine orders from restaurants and consumers. As agents, they regularly consulted with individuals and businesses around wines for personal or corporate needs, led in-person and virtual tastings and hosted winemaker events. All of their consultation continues and this work inspired them to create their unique bricks and mortar wine-themed space.
